The Meddling Media

Really despise the media and the way they think they can pick our GOP candidate. I disagree with almost everything I have read this morning, from every source, Liberal or Conservative, about the debate. Clearly Americans are sheep though, and they will follow where lead. Such bullsh!t! I say take the media out, period. Just allow actual footage of actual events to air, and let us make our decisions from there. I am no longer interested in any journalistic opinion. It's utterly useless.

  1. I agree about the media trying to pick our candidate...they can go stick it. I do believe there questions in debates have relevance and that all the voters need to hear there stances, for some it helps to hear them say all there plans all at once like we heard last night...30 seconds for HealthCare. After the Dems and Repubs have there candidates then I think they should switch to the Lincoln-Douglas style debates like what Newt wants to do with Obama, but until each party has there nominee, I think the debates prove useful. Everyone has to watch the debates though to draw there own conclusions... and not go by the news biases in the morning. After the debate last night I think Romney and Newt were the clear winners followed by Herman Cain, M. Bachmann, and Ron Paul. I think Huntsman and Santorum are done and Perry, if he wants to survive, needs to have a strong debate...just 1 to rebound after all the bad ones. That's all :)

  2. Newt was/is excellent! Romney is wishy/washy as always, even though he is a sharp guy. And I think Herman Cain did a pretty good job, considering. Jon Hunstsman is an EXCELLENT candidate, but he has no chance at all. Too bad. However, the most brilliant candidate of all, with the most intelligent answers to all questions, by far, was Ron Paul. There is no way anyone in America will elect him. They are terrified of the things he says. Get rid of the Board of Education? Even though that makes TREMENDOUS sense, as it will raise the standard for education and lower the cost, Americans somehow think the opposite. Too bad people just can't think for themselves.

  3. All of the candidates want to shut down the Dept. of Education, the EPA, Dept. of Commerce, and the Dept. of Energy...the list may continue. Huntsman reminds me of Bush Sr., Perry reminds me of Bush Jr....enough said about those two...why do you think Huntsman in great? I think he is in cahoots with China, he is opposed to any type of trade reform with them while they are manipulating their currency to weaken the dollar. China is a grave threat and Russia isn't far behind them...and they both are helping Iran in extension. Ron Paul has his points....some good, some bad. The problem I hear amongst voters is that he is too old...the man in 70% deaf in one ear...he is more of a fossil then McCain! I think Romney is the guy...he has been a governor and worked in the private sector and he is strong on National Security. He will be the guy to defeat Obama, I think. Word is that Palin is reconsidering since there is no real "WOW" with any of the GOP Candidates and she continues to have a wave of loyal supporters. We shouldn't rule her out just yet.

  4. Do you think thing the actions of the Fed do not weaken our dollar? Come on! Bush Sr was a great President. I'd take him back now. Huntsman is sound, reasonable, his ideas make sense and he has a sound voting record. He seems resolute and determined to do "good" above all, period. I think someone like that, has the best interest of the people in mind, not himself. However, I don't feel he has a chance, because of those same attributes. Here is a comment I wrote on Facebook regarding Romney: "4 years ago, I REALLY supported Mitt Romney. Our country was in a bad financial spot, then, and we needed a sound businessman with private sector expertise to get us out of trouble (he has achieved much more in the private sector than most candidates we've ever had). Mitt was that guy. He made mistakes, he changed his mind a lot, he showed that he had the ability to do "whatever it took" to get the job done. The position we were in at the time needed specifically that. He was also flawed personally, and was made a fool of by the media for his faith and for changing his mind on topics. However, I still supported him because he was right for the job, then. Now, 4 years later, more polished and political in his speech, he is being picked by the media as the GOP candidate, when he is NOT the right guy for the job. 4 years later, after Obama has taken a torch to the economy, and foreign policy for that matter, we need a "NO" man. Not a "YES" man. There is a huge difference. Now, we need a person who will just go in a cut everything, until we realize some financial relief, even if it means pissing some people off. This is what needs to be done now, and Romney is not the guy to do that." As far as Palin goes; if she runs, it will turn into an even bigger dog and pony show than the media has made it already.

  5. Of course I know what the Fed does also weakens the dollar but there are other factors...China, etc..that effect it as well. What voting record does Huntsman have? You mean his record as a governor? We have conflicting views and opinions about the candidates...I think Romney is good you like Huntsman...I like Bachmann you prefer Paul. We did a complete 180 since 4 years ago, I was a Fred Head and you were a Romney Girl. 6 or 1/2 a dozen to another...ANY BODY BUT OBAMA!!!
